I’m Jay, and this is my blog about cooking good food.
The main purpose of the blog is to provide an in-depth, step-by-step, photo-illustrated guide to making some of my favorite dishes from a variety of world cuisines. There is no specific theme, other than my passion for using fresh ingredients to create colorful and delicious dishes with bright flavors, entirely from scratch.
Over time, my goal is to make this site a comprehensive directory of instructional guides to making great food from all over the world… from Indian and Asian curries, to Italian ragus, to North African tagines, to American barbecue. No dish or cuisine is off limits, so if you want me to cook something and photoblog an instructional guide, just let me know and I’ll see what I can do! My favorite part of cooking (which I hope to pass along to you) is exploring new techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations — I strongly believe that with a little research and experimentation, I can learn to cook anything, and teach you how to do it too.
